The Lowry Bridge in Minneapolis is a relatively new addition to the beauty of the area. By day it is a bridge with a decorative arch on top of it. At night it lights up in vibrant colors that change for holidays and special events. And when you get to the right place, you can line up the Minneapolis Skyline behind the colorful arch.
In this particular image, it was a Halloween evening and the bridge was lit up in Halloween colors. Well, actually, as you can see it was lit up to resemble a pumpkin. Sanding along the shore of the Mississippi River, I was able to get a nearly perfect reflection of the bridges arch to make it appear even more so as a pumpkin with a near perfect circular shape lit up in orange and the green stem on top.
The background Minneapolis skyline features the Capella Tower, the Wells Fargo Tower, and the IDS Center as the 3 tallest buildings. The Capella is the tower just outside of the arch and has the white lights on top. The Wells Fargo Tower has the yellowish orange lights on the top third of the building. And the IDS has the ring of orange lights on top of it right in the center of the arch. The IDS is normally lit in white, but they have recently started changing the colors for events and holidays on that building as well.
