Aspirations of Autumn gathers landscape and cityscape work captured between September and November, starting at home in Minneapolis and reaching across Wisconsin, Michigan, Florida, and Chicago. Sometimes autumn is obvious: mist rising off a river, a canopy turning gold in a state park. Other times it's quieter; a skyline catching low autumn light at dusk, the stillness of a lake at night, even the aurora glowing over Lake Superior on a clear fall evening. Together, these images are less a single mood than a season's worth of travel; Minneapolis and beyond, seen in the light that only autumn gives.
