Every spring, the bluffs above Recreation Point at Heisler Park fill in with wild sea lavender, tufts of purple blooming right at the edge of the cliffs, with the Pacific stretched out glittering behind them. This was captured on one of those afternoons, the light catching the water just right while the beach below filled with the ordinary, happy business of a good day at the coast.
It's a quieter kind of Laguna Beach image, less about the famous coastline itself and more about the small bursts of color that only show up if you know to look for them along this particular stretch of bluff.
