Is the theater in this photo still an active movie theater?
Yes, the St. Anthony Main Theatre opened in 1985 as part of the redevelopment of Minneapolis's historic Main Street riverfront district. It's since become home to the MSP Film Society, which has used the theater year-round since signing a long-term lease, showing everything from Hollywood releases to independent and international films, including the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival. It's one of the last true single-screen-era, marquee-lit movie houses left in the Twin Cities, which is a big part of what drew me to photograph it.
