A Stormy Chicago Skyline Prints for Sale
May 16, 2020
I spent the 4th of July weekend in Chicago during 2019. It was a hot and humid weekend, and both evenings saw thunderstorms pass by off in the distance.
The photo that you see above was taken on July 5th. I had walked from my downtown hotel to North Avenue Beach where I took up a spot at Photographers Point. The clouds in the background had some occasional lightning strikes, but my timing was always off in trying to capture them. I still love the way the storm clouds look against the city skyline.
I was hoping to get back to Chicago again this summer, but with the Covid-19 pandemic, I'm not sure if it will happen. I am keeping my fingers crossed though.
I hope you enjoy this photo, you can get a larger view of the image and see it's print options here.
And you can see my entire Chicago Art Gallery here.
