The summer sky hung heavy with the promise of rain as I set up my camera, the tripod legs gripping onto the damp rocks. The familiar arch of the 35W Bridge loomed in front of me, a colorful giant against the overcast twilight. Tonight wasn't about capturing the usual stoicism of the bridge, though. Tonight, I was chasing rainbows. 

Minneapolis Pride was in full swing, and the city was a kaleidoscope of color. The iconic 35W Bridge, usually a stoic sentinel, was transformed. Bathed in a vibrant tapestry of light, it pulsed with a joyous energy that mirrored the spirit of the celebration below. 

As the first raindrops splattered on the nearby rocks, a color of moment caught my eye. Below the bridge, the mighty Mississippi mirrored the spectacle above. The raindrops, each a tiny explosion of light, danced on the water's surface, creating a fleeting ballet of color. It was a breathtaking display, a fleeting glimpse of magic in the heart of the city. 

In that moment, the bridge wasn't just steel and concrete anymore. It was a symbol of hope, a beacon of inclusivity, its vibrant reflection a testament to the beauty of diversity. It was a reminder that even on the stormiest of nights, there's always a chance to see a rainbow.
