Earth Day came and went last week, and from many things that I have seen, the Earth may be happier than it has been in eons. With so many of us staying home, there are fewer chemicals in the air, more wildlife in the streets, and there are so many reports of cleaner water all around the world. Of course, I didn't stay home on Earth Day, I went out and took some photos of the two Minneapolis bridges that light up in different colors for different events and holidays and special occasions. And yes, that also means the skyline was in the photos with the bridges. Let's take a look at the photos, shall we?
I started out the evening standing on Bridge No. 9 taking photos of an abundance of bridges, but mainly the 35W Bridge, which was lit in a slightly brighter shade of green than what they use on St. Patrick's Day.

When I was done photographing the bridge colors from this view, I went over to Tony Jaros River Garden so that I could get some close-up photos of the Lowry Bridge.

My final stop of the evening was at Marshall Terrace Park. This spot gives a great view with the arching bridge nearly framing the Minneapolis skyline.

The city sure looks good lit up in green, and it is great to see it support Earth Day.
I hope you enjoy the photos and feel free to continue with any of the selections below:
