Saying Goodbye to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

G Force Records Presents Rock n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

There are few rides at Walt Disney World that hit you quite like the launch of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith.

No slow climb.

No warning.

Just 0–60 in under three seconds, straight into a loop that immediately throws you into a corkscrew.

The first time I rode it, I remember laughing halfway through the inversion because it felt so aggressive compared to everything else in the park. It didn’t feel like a “Disney coaster.” It felt like something you’d find at a major thrill park… wrapped in neon guitars and backstage rock energy. And that’s what made it special.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Giant Guitar at Hollywood Studios

The towering red Fender guitar outside the attraction became a landmark on Sunset Boulevard. The G Force Records facade set the stage. Even the oversized promotional poster had personality. Before you ever stepped into the limo, the tone was set: this was going to be loud.

I’ve been fortunate enough to see Aerosmith live multiple times, so the theming always felt personal. Whether they were culturally dominant at the time or not didn’t really matter. The ride captured a specific era: rock,n roll, big hair, big sound, and unapologetic spectacle.

Now, as the attraction prepares to reopen as Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, featuring Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, the original chapter officially comes to a close.

Disney evolves. That’s part of what keeps the parks alive.

But that original launch… that giant guitar glowing at night… that facade that felt like a backstage pass… those visuals belong to a specific moment in park history.

Before the music changes and the signage transforms, I wanted to preserve the Aerosmith era exactly as it stood.
