There is no doubt about it - acrylic prints are the modern and trendy way to display your art! There is a lot that goes into finding the perfect wall art for your home or office, and if you are considering Disney acrylic wall art, there are a few things you should know before you dive in and purchase them. There are many advantages of acrylic prints, however, before we can get into those it is important to understand what IS an acrylic print. 

There are two distinct processes of creating an acrylic print - direct printing on to the material, vs printing onto paper, and then face mounting to acrylic. The face mount process is a more difficult process and more expensive, but well worth it, and it is the process that I use for my acrylic prints. I am a firm believer in the face mount method as it provides greater color pop and vibrance, as well as color permanence (it has far less fading over time). Photo colors always look best printed on professional-grade photo paper and the acrylic face mount takes advantage of the refractive quality of the acrylic. In the right lighting, it even helps illuminate the print. No other print medium can match an acrylic face mount in terms of vibrance which is why this technique continues to grow in popularity. 

My Disney prints on acrylic are durable, in fact, they are the most durable print that I offer. The colors will fade slower on an acrylic print than any other medium, they are shatter-resistant, and are lighter than glass. The acrylic print is going to be heavier than metal or canvas prints.

The drawback of acrylic? They can get up there in price. You are paying for a premium product, one that will bring your home or office to life. If you are looking for a print that will spark conversation for decades to come, the acrylic print is the one for you.
