As Kermit the Frog's voice swells through "The Rainbow Connection," the great geodesic sphere shifts through color, and in the song's final moments, a full rainbow sweeps across its face from end to end.
It lasts only seconds, only at night, and only during the festival's short winter run. I set up at the perfect angle and waited for that final alignment: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet arcing across one of the most iconic structures at Walt Disney World. This is that fleeting moment, held still.
