I stayed.
This photograph was captured from the balcony outside Teppan Edo in Epcot’s Japan Pavilion, my favorite vantage point for photographing nighttime spectaculars. As Luminous: The Symphony of Us concluded and the final notes faded, thousands of guests began moving toward the exits.
But something beautiful was still unfolding.
The fountains continued their dance across World Showcase Lagoon. The torii gate glowed warmly in the foreground. And as the show ended, Spaceship Earth quietly illuminated once again, rising in the distance like a luminous guardian over the water.
This is the in-between moment.
The exhale after the crescendo.
The color that lingers when the music fades.
The magic that reveals itself when you choose not to rush.
