A rare, final look at the Rivers of America, capturing Tiana’s Bayou Adventure glowing at night with a perfect reflection on water that no longer exists. Photographed in February 2025, this scene is now history as the area transforms into Cars Land.

I captured this image during my trip in February 2025 because I knew the clock was running out on this view.
The glowing mountain in the distance is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, photographed as it lights up the night. What makes this photograph truly special, though, is what’s in the foreground: the ride’s reflection on the Rivers of America, a calm stretch of water that used to deliver some of the most beautiful, mirror-like reflections in the Magic Kingdom.
On the right side of the frame, that small edge of rocks and trees is Tom Sawyer Island. Today, both the river and the island are gone, now cleared and being transformed as the park prepares for a Cars Land area in the coming years.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is still there… but this exact scene is not.
I’ll never be able to photograph this view again.
