This shot took more patience than skill. I had my composition locked in and was ready to go, but one family after another kept stepping into frame for their own selfies in front of Disneyland California Sleeping Beauty Castle, and honestly, I couldn't blame them; they were just as excited to be at Disneyland as I was. A couple of other photographers next to me were waiting for the same clear shot, and we ended up laughing together every time it happened again. Eventually, the walkway cleared, the stars came out, and I got this: Sleeping Beauty Castle glowing under a clear night sky.
I hope this Disneyland California castle piece brings a little bit of that Disneyland magic into your space. Feel free to share it with anyone who loves Sleeping Beauty Castle as much as I do.
Magical Sleeping Beauty Castle photograph, available as fine art paper, metal, and acrylic prints. Each piece is custom-made to order, typically within 5 business days. Free ground shipping on all U.S. orders over $100.
Getting a clean, empty shot of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland is its own kind of challenge, not because of the photography itself, but because of how many people want the exact same view for their own photos. I had my tripod set up and my composition ready, but for a good stretch of time, one family or couple after another stepped right into the frame for a selfie. I couldn't be annoyed about it; they were on their Disneyland vacation, having just as good a time as I was. A couple of other photographers next to me were waiting on the same shot, and we ended up laughing together each time the walkway filled back up.
Eventually, there was a break. The bridge cleared, the stars came out overhead, and Sleeping Beauty Castle stood there glowing in blue and gold, banners hanging still in the night air. That's the moment this print captures: pure patience, finally paying off.
This piece is a favorite for anyone who loves Disneyland and Sleeping Beauty Castle, a striking, nostalgic addition to a living room, office, or any space that could use a little Disneyland magic.
Looks best on High Gloss MetalPrint for deep blacks and vivid color in the castle lighting and starry sky, or Acrylic for extra depth and a glass-like shine on the illuminated towers.
