Looks Best On
As a large-format Statement Piece, this one shines on metal for vivid, luminous color, or acrylic for a sleek, gallery-glass finish. Either material makes the split between fire and twilight genuinely dramatic at scale.
Photographed from the lakeshore on a warm summer evening, the skyline glows beneath a sky split between fire and calm — the left half alive with the heat of sunset, the right cooling into the first shades of twilight. The contrast between gold and violet is both natural and surreal, a visual story of transition and balance.
This piece is a true Statement Print — powerful, vivid, and full of emotion. It embodies the rhythm of Chicago itself: bold, beautiful, and always in motion.

Metal Prints
Each image is infused directly into aluminum through a dye-sublimation process, creating luminous color and depth. Metal prints are exceptionally durable, even suitable for outdoor spaces, and resist fading, scratching, and moisture. Every piece arrives ready to hang, so it can go straight from the box to your wall.
Acrylic Prints
Acrylic prints offer one of the most striking and contemporary ways to showcase fine art. Each image is printed on premium gloss paper, then face-mounted behind crystal-clear acrylic for unmatched depth, brilliance, and sharp detail. The result is a sleek, gallery-quality presentation that feels as vivid and dimensional as the scene itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size should I choose for a piece like this?
These are large-format sizes meant to anchor a room, so use the room preview tool before ordering. If you're deciding between two sizes, go with the larger one — a Statement Piece is meant to be seen from across the room.
Why is this only available in metal and acrylic, not canvas or paper?
Statement Pieces are printed at large, collector-grade sizes, and metal and acrylic are the two materials rigid enough to stay perfectly flat and vivid at that scale. Canvas and paper simply aren't built for sizes this large.
Is this made to order, or do you keep inventory on hand?
Every print is made to order once you place it. Production typically takes up to 5 business days before it ships.
Where was this photographed?
From the Lake Michigan lakeshore in Chicago, on a warm summer evening as sunset gave way to twilight.
Is this related to 'Evening Glow Over Chicago'?
Yes — they're companion pieces from the same sunset. This one is the bolder, large-format Statement Piece version; the other is a softer, smaller Everyday Collection metal print.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — every order within the continental United States over $100 ships free.
