Target Center is the arena in Minneapolis where the Minnesota Timberwolves call home. It is also used for concerts and Minnesota Lynx games, among other events. The arena is pretty old, but they just spent a lot of money upgrading it, which included this new beautiful glass entryway.
I went downtown looking to capture the new beauty while there was a little bit of color left in the sky. I probably could have arrived a few minutes earlier, but I think this works well. My first take of this photo featured a banner that announced an upcoming Minnesota Timberwolves game, which I thought was good to use as they are the main tenant here. But then the very next image shown was this one with the Prince symbol on it, so I quickly took another photo. I am not quite sure what type of event this was, but anytime I can include Prince in my art I will jump at it.
In the background, you can also see part of the halo from Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins.
I hope you enjoy my pictures of downtown Minneapolis, and please feel free to share it!
