I had a wonderful adventure recently that I wanted to share with you. I drove up to the northernmost tip of Upper Michigan so that I could photograph a lighthouse that I had previously only seen in photographs. This lighthouse is called the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse, and it is found in Eagle Harbor, MI. I checked into my hotel that was in Houghton and then made the 45-minute drive up to Eagle Harbor. It was a spectacular evening up on Lake Superior.
The first thing I did was take a photo of the colorful sunset behind the lighthouse.
I then made my way over to the other side of the lighthouse so that I could capture the sunset at Lake Superior. And then once the darkness set in, I was able to just sit back, listen to the waves of this great lake crash into the shore, and watch a million stars up above me. It is always such an amazing thing being able to enjoy the night sky like this.
I hope you enjoy the photos, and please let me know what you think!
